System type:
Alarm Monitored via Phone Line: Phone line required (Internet based telephone service like Vonage is not accepted). Telephone line alarm monitoring basically means connecting your security system’s communicator to your existing telephone line and the alarm signals are send to the monitoring station using that phone line. Your telephone service could be the old standard telephone service (PSTN or POTS) or the newer VOIP or digital service offered by some cable companies. When you choose this option the software calculate all necessary devices required to assemble your security system.
Alarm Monitored via Cellular Network: No phone line required. It is a cellular GSM dedicated device, (like a cellphone) build in your alarm system, and is use to communicate with the monitoring station. It is a great solution for customers who do not have a phone line or are planing to disconnect their service. Cellular communicator is also required for Total Connect remote services that allows to control your alarm from smartphone or any internet enabled device. When you choose this option the software calculate all necessary devices required to assemble your security system.
Door Sensor:
Door sensor monitors door for opening. Count all doors, that you would like to protect. Consider all openable doors that are easily accessible from ground level, balcony or roof. Doors (specially a back doors) are mostly targeted by burglars.
Motion Detector:
Motion Detector monitors unoccupied interiors for motion of object bigger the 50 pounds and will not detect midd-size animals. Determine how many Motion Detectors would you like to have installed. Each of them covers up to 100 square meters room (10 by10 meters room) Motion Detectors are highly recommended and supposed to be installed on the main floor and the basement, where access from outside is easy. "fp" motion detectors are pet friendly devices and are designed to avoid animals up to 80 pounds.
Window Sensor:
Window sensor monitors window for opening. Count all windows, that you would like to protect. Consider all openable windows that are easily accessible from ground level, balcony or roof.
Glass Break Detector:
Glass-Break Detector "listens" for sound frequencies associated with glass breaking. It is recommended for alarm users who arm their system in "stay" mode, when motion detectors are disabled. This Glass-Break Detector is ceiling or wall‐mounted unit with 4.5 metres maximum detection range, 360°maximum horizontal sensing angle, and dual‐stage glass break detection. For maximum protection we recommend to install one Glass-Brake Detector per 100 square meters area (10m by 10m) where windows are easily accessible from ground level, balcony or roof.
Panic (Emergency) Button:
Panic button provide immediate, easy, one-step emergency notice activation. When the panic alarm is pressed by a person in an emergency or panic situation, the alarm goes off at the security control centre. The duty of the security centre is to send local security officers or the police to respond to the site.
Smoke Detector:
Provides 24/7 Smoke detection. When smoke is detected, the alarm sounds a loud local alarm and the signal to the Control Panel and Central Station is notify. This alarm is designed to provide protection within a 10 meters radius of the unit. Signals from the Smoke Detector will be transmitted whether the system is armed or disarmed. Recommended at least one per floor.
Heat Detector:
The Heat Detector is a ceiling-mounted initiating device that is used usually in garages, heater closets, kitchen facilities, and other places where smoke detectors are inappropriate.
Carbon Monoxide (CO) Detector:
A carbon monoxide detector or CO detector is a device that detects the presence of the invisible carbon monoxide (CO) gas in order to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. CO detector is designed to measure CO levels over time and sound an alarm before dangerous levels of CO accumulate in an environment, giving people adequate warning to safely ventilate the area or evacuate. Signals from CO detector will be transmitted whether the system is armed or disarmed. Recommended at least one per floor.
Water Sensor:
A water detector is an electronic device that is designed to detect the presence of water and provide an alert in time to allow the prevention of water damage. Signals from the Water Sensor will be transmitted whether the system is armed or disarmed. Water detector is ideally suited for a wide range of applications including bathrooms, laundry rooms and basements.
Low Temperature Sensor:
This sensor activates the security system and notifies you when dangerously low temperatures are detected to prevent freezing pipes or other damage.
Guard Service:
Due to rising police costs and communities implementing bylaws to charge for alarm permits and false alarms, Securepol Guard Service is available to help customers reduce or eliminate their risk. In case of alarm, the monitoring station dispatches Guard Service instead of police. Upon arrival guard will conduct a complete perimeter patrol of the premise, checking all access doors, windows and overhead doors. Will note any apparent evidence of trespassers or vandalism. If an actual incident is discovered, Monitoring Station and the police services will be advised immediately.
